Serves 4
Made with Alexia Artisan French Rolls
Ingredients:
1 package Alexia Artisan French Rolls
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
4 eggs
1 ½ cups dark brown sugar
1 ½ cups heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 ½ tablespoons ground ginger
1 tablespoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground clover
¼ cup molasses
½ cup chopped pecans
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Bake Alexia Artisan French Rolls according to package instructions.
Once rolls are cooled, cut into cubes and toss in melted butter. Fill ramekins or baking dish with cubed bread. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, vanilla, spices, and molasses. Pour gingerbread filling into ramekins or baking dish until full. Toss chopped pecans on top.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 22-25 minutes (depending on size of dish—larger dishes will take longer). If top begins to brown too much, loosely cover with foil.
Once fully cooked, remove from oven. Top with powdered sugar and serve.
